We are hosting our annual Fall River Clean-Up this Saturday, October 21st! We will meet at the shop at 8am to figure our float/boat or walk in assignments and all volunteers are welcome. Per usual we will provide the trash bags, cover the cost of the car shuttles and host an appreciation dinner at 6pm in my pole barn next to (South of) the shop. Please call the shop to sign-up if you can make it, so we can plan accordingly for dinner and we hope to see you there!!! (231) 745-3529

Welcome back from AK Jad & Hatcher!

Fun times with the fellas!

There are still plenty of Kings around on the river, but we’ve officially switched our focus over to Steelhead, Trout and Cohos with the possibility of hitting some Kings along the way. I took this week off from guide trips to rest, relax and reset before going at it hard again, but also spent a few days downriver with some of our awesome shop and guide staff goofing off and pitching hardware for new arrivals and pike.

Our recent and predicted weather as well as the small bump in water level bodes well for the upcoming Steelhead season, but I have not run into big waves just yet despite a few being caught here and there throughout the system almost daily. In other words, there are a few around, but not many yet. I have lost a couple in the search so far, caught some really cool fresh Coho, a few Pike and some brand-new Kings all while having a great time however!

Our fall Steelhead trips are filling in, but we do still have availability if you’d like to join us, just give the shop a call to check on dates. Salmon season was great and our sincere thanks goes out to everyone that supported us in any way as well as to our staff at the shop and housekeepers at the Motel! You all keep the dream alive… ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Scouted downriver with Gary also…

I’m gonna cut this short now and get a few other things done, but I’ll post again next week with a little more on the Steelhead front as well as the cleanup. Till then, tight lines, be well and have some fun this fall in our fantastic state that has so much to offer the outdoorsperson!ย  ย -Steve-

Here’s a few left-over King trip pics, still a few nice ones around…

    • Yes, we catch quite a few from around Indian Bridge all the way down to the lake. They have always been there…
