Shop hours are 7am – 7pm daily!!!

Been busy chasing fish and having fun!!!  The river is low and clear, but the kings have decided to start running!  It has not been “ideal” conditions, but the fish think it’s time to come home.  Mother nature is amazing and very unpredictable at times, but we are ready!  We are very excited to have a good “old school” push of fish at this point in time (but they are spreading out quickly).  We witnessed three solid days of big migrations in the lower river last week (which was extremely impressive!) and those fish have spread out through the entire river system.  With that being said, there are still plenty of gaps and empty holes throughout.  “Right place at the right time” and “Here today and gone tomorrow” are the name of the game….spin the wheel and see what happens!!!  None the less, spending a day on the river is priceless.

The river, as stated before, is still low and clear.  Slow flow and gin clear are the current conditions…not ideal, but dealing with the conditions is what we do!!!  It’s been fun bouncing around the river and trying different techniques.  We have been tossing plugs, drifting beads and flies…we do it all!  We have over 70 river miles to fish and we cover them all!!!

The shop is loaded up with inventory….flies, plugs, spinners, rods, reels and everything in between!  Our guide schedules are full right now, but we still have some lodging available…give us a call to book 231-745-3529.  And it is not too early to book a fall/winter steelhead guide trip….we still have some awesome dates available.

Tough Dental appointment!!!

It has been a very fun week fishing, catching fish and watching “national geographic” type migrations….what a resource!!!  The Pere Marquette River is an amazing place!!!  The more I travel on fishing trips; the more I love the the PM!!!

Here is this weeks photo dump…..

Another scouting mission…crazy battle that I will never forget!!!
Scott and Don had a very productive day…on both plugs and flies!

Crazy morning sky!
Tom and Nate were up to their old tricks!!! Nice work boys!

Thank you to all our clients and guests over the last week.  It was an awesome week and great having you around…without you we would not be doing what we love!!!  Guiding the Pere Marquette River is an honor and a privilege…At least to me!!!

The river is starting to get busy, so remember we are all out there to have fun!  Please respect one another and their space.  The best policy is “ask before you cast” and everything will work out….plus, you might just meet a new fishing buddy?!?

Good luck fishing, enjoy the season, be safe and Go Lions!!!
