Late nights and short days best describes the current situation.  Hexes have been hatching well on most nights, but absent a couple cold/rainy evenings.  There has been some highs, lows, great victories and tough loses…”Hexin’ ain’t easy!”  It’s been a lot of fun and I think we can squeeze several more good nights out there…I am willing to give it a shot for sure! I have a couple grudges I would like to settle.

Tim worked hard for this dandy! Well done buddy
Tom made the most out of a couple feeders

We finally got a decent storm on Sunday night that bumped the river level.  It was a much needed blast of rain.  It’s been an extremely dry spring and summer thus far.  The river is already dropping and almost back to normal levels.

Brandon and Dave getting on the board

Blake had a solid night hexing! I really would have like to seen the one Drew hooked…I got it’s address

Hard to believe June is almost gone!  Way too fast!!!  But we have plenty of great trout fishing ahead of us.  Pounding the banks with big rubber legged dry flies and mousing after dark.  We have some great guide dates still available, so give us a call…231-745-3529.  Guides and lodging are available most nights throughout the summer.  Summer trout fishing is NOT over!

George with a great day time eat!

Gotta run now…trout are happy!  Twitch bugs, small streamers, wet flies and dries are getting looks durning the day and hexes, big stones and mice after dark.  Good luck and see you out there!

Later,

John
