Just wanted to post a quick update.  Heavy storms rolled through the area Friday evening. 3 inches of rain was concentrated on the Baldwin River and caused significant flooding.  The river has crested, but there are probably several new trees across the river.  Baldwin Canoe Rental is sending crew down the fly water Wednesday.  Be safe and smart.

As for kings…we will see???  This high water should send some swimming up stream, but the water temps are very warm.  They were catching them in PM Lake and off the Pier heads, so that’s a great sign.  The lower river is VERY high and DIRTY.  We will see what’s where once the water level drops and we get back out there.

Also, we are looking to hire at least one new shop employee and maybe two?  Please spread the word..

We are looking for full or part time Shop Clerk(s). Job responsibilities include: operating our Point of Sale terminals, greeting customers, answering phone calls, providing fishing reports, making reservations for our guides and motel, keeping the shop clean and checking in inventory/restocking shelves.
Knowledge of the Pere Marquette River and the area would be beneficial, but a desire to learn and a great attitude are most important. Experience with fly fishing, fly tying and conventional gear would be a plus.
This is a (full or part time) seasonal employment opportunity, but could develop into year round employment. Starting pay is $10/hour with growth opportunities. This is a team environment that is customer focused. We value our employees and customer relationships are a top priority.
Please contact us if you would like to join the BBT team!
Thanks and I will have much more info before the weekend.
