LONG time no write.... Sorry about that. Got myself unplugged for a while and to be honest, it's been pretty enjoyable. This is going to be fairly short, but I start guiding every day here in Alaska tomorrow and after that I'll try to update at least weekly for those of you interested. Check out John's report for updates on the Pere Marquette. I did a few trips there after my last report and had some fun, but unfortunately, whatever pics I took seem to have gotten lost alng the way.
Karen and I spent about nine days in Tennessee riding our bikes and spending time with family. We had a reunion of just about everyone from my fathers branch of the tree and despite missing a few of us it was a great turnout and a great time!
Evening jam session.
Got home on the 11th, spent a couple days organizing and then it was off to Alaska on the 14th. I only spent two days on the water here last week and have otherwise been busy just getting things in order around the camp and my own personal stuff ready for the season.
I was happy to find my little cabin just as I left it!
Got a few fish like this one in the rapids last Sunday and lost a few bruisers.
Suprisingly, even with all the dogs around camp, we are still getting regular visits from some local wildlife...
Flew over to Brooks on Wednesday.
Got quite a few like this one on small streamers.
Even in the rain/drizzle/overcast it's a beutiful place.
It's actually pretty nice out right now and since this will be my only day off for a while I'm going to cut this off now, go find a place with internet to post it and ride my bike some while I've got the chance. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive and that I will try to stay in touch more from here on out...
Tight lines all,
