Just a quick hello this week from the land of the midnight sun (Actually starting to get a few hours of dark now!) as I have a busy day ahead of me. Not much to tell about last week really. My bike still hasn’t shown yet and a light client week resulted in only three days guiding on the Naknek for me with no fly outs.

A quick evening fire with some of the crew last Saturday.

Mike and I took Logan, a young camp helper, out for a few quick fish to take back home when he returns on Monday and had some fun in the process. Always a good time during the harvest…

Some good sized Sockeye running that day.

Look across the river over the fish. Kinda cool! ;^)

Anyone up for a fish fry!?

Casting games are a common occurrence in Pringleville. You need a tight loop to knock the can out from under the arch…

Josh and I had three clients on Tuesday Sockeye fishing and on Thursday it was just Margret, a very sweet lady from right here in Alaska that it was a pleasure to spend time with. She brought Ben along with us on Friday and we all enjoyed watching him have some fun!

A freezer filler for Margret.

Wednesday morning view from my porch.

Josh working with Margret on Thursday dry fly fishing for Grayling.

Friday was a day at the beach so to speak. Here’s Max enjoying the sunshine…

We caught some blushed up Sockeyes just for fun.

Today is Shag’s birthday, but we celebrated last night in the typical Pringleville style of a bonfire. A bunch of the crew from the other lodge joined us for the evening and it was a grand ‘ole time!

I thought the sky was cool in this shot.

Not much else to tell really. With any luck the barge will make port sometime soon and I can start enjoying some time on my bike, but in the meantime it should be a great week with some regular fall clients from back home. Till next time, tight lines…
