Hi guys, I’m gonna make this a short one as all hell is about to break loose! As I type we are shipping off last week’s clients and picking up two full camps worth of new ones with just barely enough staff to handle the crowd. In other words, situation normal… ;^) Should be a fun filled week with some great folks however and I'm looking forward to it.

The state senator from Oklahoma. Super nice guy…

Daily routine. One a day keeps the blues away! ;^)

Not a lot to tell about last week. Had a bunch of self proclaimed Oakies in as part of a big group of meat hunters and the fish did not run heavy enough to limit out each day, but for the most part, we made it happen. Wind was such that taking an open boat across the lake was out of the question, so we flew clients over to Brooks instead.

Man I do love a beaver!

This guy thinks there should be more fish by now...

Personally, I’m really warming up to the Naknek as my home waters and I think I’ll ask Jim about spending more time here and less time across the pond. Easier shorter days for sure and, plenty of fish to catch. I didn’t take nearly the photos I should have this week, but we did well every day.

Even on a grey day it’s not a bad place to call home.

Walt Grau and John Kluesing made their way into camp this week and it feels a little more like home with some of my best friends and mentors around…

The position.

Gotta love the growler with his customized BBT coozie.

John getting his ship in order.

Mike looking a little like Jack Nicholson. Don’t tell him I put his mug on the internet! ;^)

Anyway, gotta wrap this up now and see if I can round up a ride to town so I can post it, do some shopping and a little laundry. Should be quite interesting around here the next couple of weeks to say the least and I’ll fill you in on this week next week!

Got our last one for a limit right after this, but I wanted to get started with the knife.

Hope everyone has a happy 4th of July (21 years in business at the BBT!!) and till next time, tight lines…
Steve
