Hey guys, just another quick one from me again. John has been pretty well on top of it lately and put one out on the 29th, but we have had some significant precipitation since then and extra caution should be exercised…

My “guess” would be that we’ll see these gauges continue on an upward trend for at least a few days yet, but there’s a bit of a mystery involved at the moment with the Mapleleaf area showing a bit of a drop right now… 🤷‍♂️🤪

Here’s one more of Mike from “The Marek Group!”
Great start to a fun day with Curt & Matt right out of the gate… 😎

Anyway, fishing has been fairly solid with lots of spawning activity happening in certain areas and fresh fish are still to be found in the pools, runs and staging water near the active spawners.

Some salmon fry have been popping and more fish are starting to key in on those patterns as well as the obvious eggs. I’ve been switching it up a little at times and have also had success on black & brown stones as well as some small egg sucking leeches.

Great fish Parker! Thanks for sticking with the program… 👊😎
Interesting stormy day with John & Ron! We timed it perfectly… 😜

Beads have been best for me in the size 10 & 12 with greens and yellows leading the way and pale orange not far behind… Crank baits like hot-n-tots and the like are also producing as well as spinners and, of course, spawn bags will get you the win at times too, but I’ve been sticking to the less sticky methods! 🙄😆😅

I hate that we are on repeat with this, but our area does not have a strong base of knowledgeable sales professionals in the fly, bait and tackle industry so we continue to seek some more shop help in full or part time positions if you or someone you know may be interested. (See the details below.)

Steelhead fishing should remain solid thru mid-April per usual and appears as though it may even remain that way right thru the end of the month, but trout fishing is just now ramping up and it’s always fun to mix it up!! 🎣

Love the spots on this one! 😎
Surprise, surprise on a hot-n-tot guys!! Great job Scott… 😎👊👍

We’ve got guide openings scattered throughout the season right now as well as motel room availability if you’d like to come up and get in on the fun! My next available dates are this Sunday the 5th, Thursday the 9th and Sunday, Monday, Tuesday the 12th, 13th & 14th. Call the shop to book one of those or check on others! (231) 745-3529 8am – 6pm

That’s about all I’ve got for you right now. Water clarity was still pretty good up high yesterday, but I had a last minute reschedule for today so I haven’t personally seen it yet since getting off yesterday. Just be careful out there if you go. (“Blind fishing” will be good I’m sure in all of the usual higher water holding areas even if it does color up some more.)

Thank you for a very pleasant day David! You are welcome in my boat anytime… 😎
They didn’t all have lock-jaw Andy! Another fun day per usual… 👍

Have fun, be safe and treat your fellow anglers as you would want them to treat you! 👊🇺🇸😎🦅👍🎣
