We’re getting down to the wire on this Steelhead thing so I thought I’d toss out another link in addition to the one I posted in my last report… If you want your voice heard do so right now as the deadline for comments is just a couple of short days away.
Seems to me like the more Steelhead that get put back into the system the more Steelhead all of us, including the average angler, has a chance to catch regardless of any other factor and it certainly can’t hurt anything, but that’s just me and I’m not here to tell you what to think.
Captain Ed McCoy has a great article along with links on all of this that you can read here, but you can also do your own research etc… Point is, regardless of your opinion on the matter, if you want to make a difference and have your voice heard do so by telling the folks that matter and actually make the policy, arguing with one another on social media simply isn’t going to do it.
I’ll try and post an actual river report sometime later this week, but this couldn’t wait. If you care about the future of the fishery, take a few minutes and email the Natural Resources Commission (NRC) [email protected] to let them know your thoughts.
Till next time,
