The river is LOW and CLEAR! There are TONS of fish spawning right now, but not many in the holes. But, did I receive a good report from one of our guides that floated the middle river and it was filled up with new fish in the holes and pools. That is some great news!!! We have been watching new fresh fish swim bye us each morning; so more are coming!!! This time of year usually has spawning fish and the good holes loaded with new fish….but not yet this year. We will see how this year plays out…”holes vs. gravel”????
On October 23, 2021 we will be hosting our River Clean-Up gathering. Floating and walking the river to pick up trash. Plus, a bunch of boats floating the river to gather trash along the way! It’s a great way to give back to the resource! All are welcome and food will be provided.
I have some excellent dates set for fall steelhead at the moment; My open dates are 10/21, 24, 28, 29, 31 & 11/2, 4, 7, 9, 15, 17, 18, 22, 23, 27….let’s go fishing!!!!
It’s been an awesome week and looking forward to more memories in weeks to come!!!
