FROM THE SHOP

8/3/06

Hey guys, I haven't really been fishing since last report (Outside of the Baldwin Fish Farm where we took the nieces and nephews to catch us some dinner yesterday), but I do want to share some BIG news. As of this morning John, Karen and I (BBT) are the proud new owners of the Dream Catcher Motel that sits just to the south of our shop and right next door to my pole barn on M-37! We will take actual possession on the 15th of August and sincerely hope that all of you will find it in you to support this endeavor the way you have our shop.

Reservations can be made for any time after the 15th starting right now (1-231-745-3529 or, toll free 1-877-422-5394) and the name will change to "Motel BBT". While we do have plans to do some re-decorating as time and funds allow this facility is already well maintained, clean and comfortable. The front features a covered area w/chairs for each room and there is a side yard picnic area with fire pit for day or evening gatherings. In addition, we "hope" to have a large hot tub in place in the back yard in time for our winter visitors.

Rooms currently available are three singles (Rooms 1,2 & 3) that include one queen sized bed, cable TV, microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, air/heat, bathroom w/shower and a telephone for free outgoing local calls or credit card/calling card long distance. Two doubles (Rooms 4 & 5) that include two queen sized beds, table w/chairs, cable TV, microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, air/heat, bathroom w/shower and a telephone for free outgoing local calls or credit card/calling card long distance.

The apartment the current owners use will be reverted to a deluxe suite by August 31st. (Room 6) As of right now it will include "at least" a living room area w/cable TV, a dinning/kitchen area, cupboards w/dishes, two bedrooms with at least two beds each, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a gas grill on the rear deck, one full and one half bathroom. (There will probably be an additional third bedroom with one or two additional beds.) Rates for this fall are 45.00 a night including tax for the singles, 55.00 a night including tax for the doubles and 120.00 a night for 4 or less people including tax for the suite. (20.00 a night for each additional person after 4 in the suite.)

That's really all I have for you at the moment as I've been very busy with family this past week, but we are very excited about being able to serve not only our guide clients in a whole new way, but all other anglers and visitors to the area as well and after signing the papers this morning I couldn't wait to share. You'll probably hear this info from me several more times in the near future (mixed into the actual reports you're more likely after) and we'll keep you up to speed on any developments!

Tight lines all!
Steve
